Trump Says Iran Ceasefire Is Finished as Conflict Intensifies

US President Donald Trump has declared the June 17 interim ceasefire deal with Iran "over" at a NATO summit in Turkey, calling the country's leaders "scum" and "cuckoo." His comments follow the heaviest exchange of strikes between the two nations since the agreement was signed, with the US hitting targets in southern Iran after attacks on oil tankers, and Iran retaliating against US military bases in Bahrain and Kuwait. While NATO chief Mark Rutte supported the US actions as necessary, Iranian officials accused Washington of breaching the ceasefire through military strikes and oil sanctions, warning that further aggression will face an immediate response.
